Dear Callaghan Clan,

The letter written below this one is from God knows how long ago. Thank you ALL for your patience. My word stands true that I will transcribe the interview with Grandma. I haven't forgotten.

I love you all,

Chessa

Dear Callaghan Clan,

Eileen P. reached out to our family about recording Grandma's oral history.  The reason Eileen mentioned me is because it has been a dream of mine to visit Grandma and interview her about our family's history: her upbringing, Grandpa's and yours. Family history, the varying perspectives of a story and the concept of home are the springs for my inspiration, as is I'm sure, the same for all of you. There is nothing better than a good story and the Callaghans have hundreds.

I will be visiting NJ and interviewing Grandma sometime between May 16-22, 2013.  I will use a small video camera as well as a hand-held recorder.  When the interview is over, I will transcribe it and will provide everyone a tangible copy of the video, audio and text files.

The whole point of Asking Eileen is to revitalize the sanctity of family, memory & history.
